An undergraduate painter at Savannah College of Art and Design Marli Simmons is combining her skills as a painter and her expertise as an art historian to create work which highlights introspection and femininity through floral forms. Working towards a Graduate degree to become a curator, Marli immerses herself in art entirely. She navigates a calling to learn, communicate, and share historic art while establishing a place as an artist in a contemporary context.
