Mural In Fairport's Town Hall

Fairport, NY   2024

I was commissioned by the town of Fairport to design and execute two murals within their town hall. The works each feature pivitol elements of the town, expressing its uniqueness and charm. For the main hallway I wanted to excentuate the sense of community and history. This included adding elements of fishing and kayaking as well as the historical railroad, bridge and annual music festival.

For the second mural I wanted to focus more on the intimate charm of the town by bringing a common motif into the walls of the town hall. I believe that the flowers added a must needed pop of color to the interior space as well as further connecting the town and outdoor space to it's local government employees. Additionally, the lamp posts and flowers serve as an accent to the vertical space being highlighted only by the light pouring in from the central window.
